What's happening on the farm?
June is here, which means our farm has been busy picking and packing blueberries! Ever wonder what process it takes blueberries to get from our farm to your table? We we want to show you! Throughout the month, we have also been busy prepping and planting some of our other Jersey Produce.
Back in May we were planting our vegetables- tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, and corn! We also assembled hightunnels for one of our blackberry fields.
Check out the pictures below to see all of this in action! July will be a busy month for harvesting so stay tuned...
Blueberries are ready to be picked right around Father's Day
When the color is just right, the blueberries are picked and sent to our packing house to be packed in pints.
Our blueberries are harvested in bins, and dumped onto our packing machine to be sorted for color and quality.
The machine also fills and labels the pints that you see in our market.
