Peach And Blueberry Pruning
Pruning is performed every winter on our farm to improve the health and productivity of our fruit trees and bushes.
Why do we prune peach trees and blueberry bushes?
-
Increase sunlight availability
-
Discard diseased and old limbs
-
Thin limbs to increase fruit size and quality
-
Maintain plant height and canopy size/shape for fruit production
-
Establish plant shape for future growth (for young trees/bushes)
